Casemiro Backs ‘Outstanding’ Anthony To Shun Critics

Casemiro is still certain that “outstanding” Antony will dissuade Manchester United’s naysayers and earn an asking price of £85 million ($105 million).

During the summer of 2022, the Red Devils made significant investments in a couple of Brazilian internationals, with Casemiro—who was enticed away from Real Madrid—becoming a talismanic figure as a result of his £60 million ($74 million) transfer to England. Even though Antony, a former Ajax star, has only scored five goals in 21 games for United, the 22-year-old is expected to develop into a “vital player” for Erik ten Hag’s team.

Fellow countryman Antony, according to Casemiro, is “extraordinary,” according to United’s official website. He is a fantastic athlete and a fantastic person who always gives his all, according to what I know of him.

In a 3-1 FA Cup fourth-round victory against Reading last time out, Antony did assist Casemiro on his first of two goals, and the Brazilian midfielder views it as a sign of the creative potential of a teammate.

Casemiro tacked on: “All the merit goes to him. It was a collective effort, when we score, it is always a team effort, but Antony’s pass was exceptional and I only had the job to put it in the back of the net. I had the composure to finish well, but his pass was exceptional.”

United, who are currently fourth in the Premier League standings, will return to action on Wednesday when they host Nottingham Forest in the second leg of their Carabao Cup semifinal match, which they are currently leading 3-0 overall.
