The suspended Senator, Senator Ovie Omo- Agege has been arrested by Abuja police at the Senate premises after he led a team of thugs to invade the Nigerian Senate.
The incident which became violent saw the thugs drive away with the Senate Mace, which is the symbol of authority of the national assembly. The thugs reportedly barged into the Chamber of the Senate, during plenary, pushed away the Sergeant-at-Arms positioned at the entrance and carted away the mace.
Mr Omo-Agege was whisked away in a black hilux van at about 1:54pm.
