How I Allowed Pastor Adeboye To Sit On My Royal Chair –Monarch

The Olugbon of Orile-Igbon in Oyo State, Oba Francis Alao, has explained why the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, sat on one of his palace chairs.

This happened during a recent occasion at his kingdom.

 The monarch was reacting to a viral photo on social media showing Pastor Adeboye sitting on the royal chair which some people condemned.

“The royal chairs are provided in palaces to honour high-ranking dignitaries, not to desecrate the throne. “As a mark of honour, I offered one of the ceremonial royal chairs that are usually reserved for top dignitaries to Pastor Adeboye to be used at the programme.

 I, therefore, seek the understanding of all those expressing concern about the issue. There is a traditional royal chair that is meant for only the Kabiyesi, and there are traditional ceremonial chairs for very important persons. The throne of the ancient town of Orile-Igbon remains sacrosanct”, the monarch said.

Gunmen Kill 50 Plateaus Villagers In 50 Hours

At least 50 people were killed by yet-to-be-identified gunmen in several communities in Mangu and Bokkos Local Government Areas of the state today..

This was disclosed by the Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, at a luncheon organised by the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, for troops of Operation Safe Haven in Mangu.

Mutfwang expressed dismay over the spate of attacks and wanton destruction of farmlands and other property by gunmen.

He promised to adopt stringent measures to tackle insecurity in the state.

We Can’t Talk About Peace In S’east Without Releasing Nnamdi Kanu

WE cannot talk about peace in the South East of the country without the release of Indegeneous People’s of Biafra (IPOB) leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

This is the stance of a member representing Isuikwuato/ Umunneochi federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Amobi Ogah.

He stated this to newsmen yesterday at his Onuaku Uturu country home

According to him,  the release of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, is a prerequisite to a lasting peace in the South East geo-political zone.

FG expands transport palliative, passengers receive Transport palliative: FG’s 50% rebate extended to 128 non-luxury bus passengers in Abuja

The federal government has expanded its 50% transportation rebate palliative to Nigerians as a way of ameliorating their financial challenges this yuletide.

Today, December 25, 128 road transport passengers on northern routs received the refund of 50% of their fares from one of the groups monitoring the implementation.

This was done in line with the Federal government’s announcement of a transportation rebate as part of President Bola Tinubu administration’s ways of relieving Nigerians .
