Bobrisky’s N15m Bribe Allegation Lands EFCC Officials In Trouble

A N15 million bribe allegation by cross dresser popularly known as Bobrisky, may have landed some operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in trouble.

Startled by the allegation, the anti-crime agency’s helmsman, Ola Olukoyede has ordered an investigation..

Bobrisky, whose real name is Idris Okuneye alleged that some officers received N15 million from him so they could dismiss money laundering charges preferred against him by the commission.

Appraising the weighty nature of the bribe allegation, broadcast in viral video produced by Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, the EFCC chairman decided to do something.

The EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, in a statement said:

“The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has taken swift and decisive action regarding the alleged bribery claims made by Idris Okuneye (aka Bobrisky) against some EFCC officers.

“In response to these allegations, the Executive Chairman of the EFCC, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, has ordered an immediate investigation.

“The EFCC wishes to assure the public that the allegations will be thoroughly investigated and the results made public accordingly.

“To facilitate this investigation, the Commission hereby invites both Okuneye and Martins Vincent Otse (aka VeryDarkMan) to present themselves at its Lagos Directorate to assist investigators in uncovering the alleged bribery.

He thus extended the commission’s invitation to the duo of Bobrisky and Otse for validation of their allegation.

Bobrisky’s allegations, may indeed land some EFCC operatives in trouble, if proven true.

A commission, which main assignment is to battle corruption would not in any way be expected to be tainted with corruption.

Observers believe too that this would further, not only put the operatives in more light, putting them in more pressures their daily assignments, but may also cause more trouble for the two, should they fail to prove their bribe allegation.
