Basketball Legend, Olajuwon, D Noor Foundation Succour Indigents

D Noor Foundation, ibadan Oyo State Nigeria has organised an annual Ramadan programme for the year 2020 basically to provide Iftoor Sohim (break during fasting) and relief for vulnerable people.

The programme held at the Arabic Institute of Nigeria (MARD) Elekuro Ibadan on Saturday targeted Muslims and non-Muslims alike.

According to Ustaz Azeez Lawal, the programme was sponsored by Alhaji Abdul Hakeem Olajuwon a former basketball player in the United States of America through his eminent Imam, Alhaji Abdul Rahmon Arisokan.

He said, the programme by D Noor Foundation also factored some Muslims congregation such as Shams Deen Central mosque Orintaaperin Ibadan, FOMWNA Orita Bashorun Ibadan and also to the some physically challenged at OjaAba Ibadan before taking place in MARD premises in the course of this year’s Ramadan 1441AD.

“Therefore, we thank Allah for making it possible because we didn’t expect a massive turnout like this  but with the virtue of Allah all our invitee’s went home with enough food stuffs which can feed them for some days in this holy month”, he said.

 Chief Imam of Ojoo Central Mosque, Alhaji Abdul Salaam Yakub encouraged the people to submit themselves to the Almighty Allah, describing Islam as a religion of peace.
