Arsenal Goalkeeper Returns To Training After Birth of Son

Arsenal goalkeeper, Aaron Ramsdale resumed training on Monday morning in preparation for Sevilla on Tuesday night.

The England goalkeeper was absent from Saturday’s 2-2 draw between Arsenal and Chelsea at Stamford Bridge because his wife Georgina gave birth to their first child on Friday. Ramsdale did, however, take part in Monday’s morning workout, with Gunners planning to reveal their travelling lineup for the Sevilla game afterward.

The 25-year-old is currently vying with David Raya for the starting goalkeeping job at Arsenal after losing his status last month. Ramsdale has only played once since Raya’s debut against Everton on September 17; that game was against Brentford in the third round of the Carabao Cup. As the Gunners defeated Brentford 1-0, Ramsdale preserved a clean sheet. Ramsdale may have a chance to rejoin the team because Raya has recently struggled.

On Tuesday, October 24, the Gunners will face Sevilla in the Champions League in an effort to get their European record back to winning.
