The president of All Nigerian Youths Reoriented Initiatives (ANYRI) and pioneer initiator of the ‘New Nigeria’ concept, Comrade Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, has called on the chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu to start arrangements for the 2023 presidency early.

An early start, the ANYRI leader added would ensure no Nigerian desirous of participating in the process was denied the opportunity.

Ajadi gave the advice while speaking with a gathering of youths at Ibadan, whom he urged on the importance of exhibiting peaceful and orderly conduct.

He said it would be a plus for the INEC chairman to maintain integrity in future elections as he had done with some past electoral processes, especially the recent Edo and Ondo elections.

According to him, Nigerians already have built trust on the INEC chairman and it would be disastrous to betray such a trust.

Commenting on the choice of February 18, 2023 as date for the presidential election, he described it as welcome, saying it would give politicians enough time and the umpire enough room to prepare.

He aalso adviced the INEC on the full maximization of the potentials presented by electronic gadgets for prompt and precise delivery.

According to him, this would also checkmate manipulation of election results.
