Two adults, a man and a woman were at each other’s throat at the Ogba area of Lagos, December 10, over allegedly attempting to cross the road without looking.

It was to the point that the man in the altercation, one Makanju Alaba threatened to beat up Mrs Mrs. Imole Adams, whom he alleged almost caused an accident for not looking well while crossing the road.

Worse, he alleged that the woman also abused him, by calling him mad.

“If it were my wife who told me I was mad, I would have strangled her”, he said, as people gathered to make peace.

The exchange took place at the junction of Mokuolu street, Yaya Abatan Road, in Ogba.

The Eagle correspondent reports that there were frayed nerves on both sides, with Mrs. Adams, saying she felt insulted by the man.

According to her, she was by the roadside alright, but she never contemplated crossing without looking to warrant Mr Alaba shouting on her the way he did.

‘He even threatened to beat me up, it is obvious that, that is how he beats his wife at home’ Mrs. Adams stated angrily

Passersby had a difficult time trying to calm the two, but Alaba kept threatening to beat up the woman, daring anyone to touch him.

Mrs Adams too hauled back abuses, promising to hurt him big, should he dare to touch her.

It took a while before passersby could resolve the issue, but many were left wondering whether there was something between them before that time.
