Alleged Video Footage of How Davido’s Son Died Surfaces, Police Reacts

On Tuesday morning, Benjamin Hundeyin, the public relations officer for the Lagos State Police Command, responded to a devastating pool video of a youngster who many people claimed to be Davido’s son.

The video has gone viral on social media, and many people have mistakenly identified the victim as Ifeanyi Adeleke, whose death is under investigation by the police.

Reacting, in an interview with BBC Pidgin, the Lagos Police PRO described the video as “fake”.

“We haven’t started looking at the content of the CCTV we collected from Davido’s house.

“Any video you see online isn’t the real thing. It’s fake,” Benjamin Hundeyin told BBC Pidgin.

Recall that Ifeanyi had died on Monday, October 31st after he drowned in a swimming pool at his dad’s residence in the Banana Island area of Lagos State.

He was reportedly rushed to Evercare Hospital in Lekki , where he was confirmed dead by one of the doctors on duty.
