It is sometimes difficult to imagine how the mind of an average criminal works, especially with concealing a 2-Year Old Child inside a sack.
But that was exactly what suspect, Fejiro Obaduemu was nabbed doing at Igbudu Market on 10th May, 2026, at 9:15a.m, by the police in Warri.
The Delta State Police Command which confirmed the act yesterday, added that the suspect, of Idesor Street, Isi Layout, Warri, escaped lynching by a hair’s breath, after vigilant residents had intercepted the29-year-old woman carrying the child in a suspicious manner.
An incensed crowd, shocked that the suspect concealed a 2-Year Old Child in a sack, was already planning how to deal with the matter at the spot, when officers from the QRS arrived at the scene.
Obaduemu did not get jungle justice instantly, but yet did not totally escape the anger of the mob, given the serious injuries they left on her body.
The suspect was later taken to the Police Clinic in Warri for medical treatment and thereafter, placed under police arrest.
On the other hand, the innocent toddler was reunited with the parents.

“Efforts are ongoing to arrest the said accomplice and unravel the wider network connected to the crime,” Police spokesperson SP Bright Edafe, said in a statement
Preliminary investigations show that the suspect had allegedly confessed to being sent by an unidentified accomplice to steal the child.
Reacting, the Commissioner of Police Delta State, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, said: “The Command remains committed to protecting children and combating all forms of human trafficking and related crimes,” Oyeniyi said.
He also advised the public to report any suspicious activities to the police.
