A Nigerian woman has recounted how her husband tricked her into relocating to Nigeria, not knowing she was consenting to the collapse of her marriage.
The whole drama however dawned on her after her husband returned to the United Kingdom (UK) without informing her.
According to her, they had arrived they had arrived the UK in 2022 as a family of four, agreeing to mutually pick their bills following an agreed formula

Things however went away when the husband began complaining that she was now giving more attention to her career ahead their home.
According to the woman, “Anytime we have an argument, he always reminds me how he brought me to the UK, saying I’m ungrateful and not appreciative,”
The woman explained that they travelled to Nigeria in September last year after her husband proposed enrolling their daughter in a boarding school to improve her Islamic education.
After visiting the school in Ibadan, she travelled with the children to Osun State to see her parents. On returning, she noticed that her husband’s Nigerian number was no longer reachable.
She later learnt that he had returned to the UK without informing her. According to her, he subsequently sent WhatsApp messages declaring their marriage over, followed by a disappearing document stating that they had divorced by mutual agreement.
“I had never signed any divorce papers,”she explained, expressing shock at the document.
The woman further alleged that her husband removed her and the children from his visa, leaving her with unanswered questions about their marriage and their future.
