Are the Lagos-Ibadan Express, Ogba-Ishaga Routes part of your commuting itinerary for today? You may have to reschedule if information on ground is anything to go by.
The two routes have been taken over by chaotic traffic that began to build from the early hours of the day, and that has seen motorists and commuters at the end of their teeters.
Those who could not wake up early enough to beat the chaos were left biting their fingers in regret, as they had been caught halfway on the Lagos-Ibadan express traffic.
The route has become synonymous with commuting chaos for some time now, owing largely to road construction activities worsened sometimes by accidents and vehicular breakdowns
A similar scenario is also playing out at the Ishaga and Ogba routes inwards outwards.
Our correspondent observed that the resultant gridlock has now overran some major roads in the area, forcing traffic police and other road managers into action.

A tricycle operator Bernard John said he was trapped for over two hours in his first trip to Ogba from Ishaga, and that on the second trip had to take a detour that forced him to drop off his passengers before their final stop as the access road to the place had been blocked.
A commuter, Mrs Peace Effiong told our correspondent: “It started here from yesterday evening – unusual traffic began to build around Ogba from around 5pm when workers had closed for the day”.
She said she had to quickly round off what she doing yesterday to be able to get home on time .
According to her, some colleagues had called to say they would arrive office late due to the traffic.
Her account was corroborated by other commuters who proffered different reasons for the traffic.
While some blamed it on the increase in the price of fuel, others mentioned an ongoing religious programme in the area.
