An infidelity allegation has led to the untimely demise of a husband and wife, one through axe attack and the other through self-ingestion of poison.
Dr Martin Muduva a respected lawyer, academic and public figure was attacked with an axe at home by his wife amidst infidelity allegations, but the woman also allegedly took her own life by ingesting poison.
Commissioner for the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission (ZHRC), before now, he reportedly ha heated domestic dispute at their home in Dzivarasekwa Extension on Tuesday night before the attack.
Local newspaper reports say amidst the infidelity allegation, he was struck twice with an axe and subsequently rushed to Parirenyatwa Hospital but died on Wednesday morning.
His wife who had drank poison shortly after the attack died died during the night.
“The death of commissioner Muduva is a devastating loss to the commission and to all those who had the privilege of working with him”, the ZHRC said in a statement.
The death of Muduuva, comes amidst allegations that the electrical engineer was planning a second wife, though information on that remains sketchy.
The circumstance has however left the many quarters where he was known in shocll.

Nothing has been said about the other woman in the picture but the deaths are certain to mobilise personal and more official reactions.
