Ambassador Ajadi Joins Celestial Church’s 47th Annual Harvest Celebration in Lagos

On Sunday, 10 November 2024, the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), Ogudu Expressway Cathedral in Ogudu Ori-Oke, Lagos, was filled with celebration and gratitude as it marked its 47th Annual Adult Harvest & Thanksgiving Service.
Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) 2023 gubernatorial candidate for Ogun State, was among the dignitaries who attended the event to celebrate nearly five decades of faith, dedication, and community service.
This year’s harvest, themed “Glory to Glory,” attracted church leaders, community dignitaries, and congregants who gathered to give thanks and celebrate the milestones the church has achieved over the years. Highlights of the event included vibrant performances, a symbolic procession, and a special offering ceremony, with members presenting fruits and produce as acts of thanksgiving, showcasing the rich spiritual heritage of the Celestial Church.
In his address to the congregation, Ambassador Ajadi commended the commitment and dedication shown by the church leaders and members. “This 47th Annual Harvest is not only a testament to the faith of the Celestial Church community but also to their consistency and commitment to both spiritual growth and community development,” he remarked. “I am grateful to be part of this year’s celebration, and I pray we may continue to witness such unity and gratitude for many more years to come.”

The celebration reached a high point as Ambassador Ajadi joined in the symbolic offering ceremony, presenting his gifts alongside members of the church. In his closing remarks, he expressed gratitude for being part of the church’s cherished traditions. “It is heartwarming to witness the unity and commitment of this congregation. Each year, you come together to thank God, to celebrate your blessings, and to uplift one another,” he said, sharing in the spirit of community that marked the event.
Ambassador Ajadi was accompanied by a notable entourage, including Kilamuwaye Badmus, the South West Public Relations Officer of the NNPP; Hon. Kehinde Teluwo, the 2023 Senatorial candidate for Ogun West; Comrade Ibrahim Shuaib; Comrade Olowu Omokehinde, the Ogun State PRO NNPP; Hon. Fatai Modawoni, the 2023 Waterside Ogun State Assembly candidate; Comrade Semiu Akingbala, the Ogun Central Senatorial chairman; and Comrade Biola, the State Auditor, NNPP Ogun State.
Evangelist Kayode Adams, the Province Head and Shepherd in charge of the cathedral, expressed his gratitude to all attendees, particularly Ambassador Ajadi, for their unwavering support. “Our harvest celebration is an annual reminder of our journey as a church and as a community,” said Adams. “We are grateful to our members, our leaders, and to friends of the church like Ambassador Ajadi, whose presence adds so much value to our mission and strengthens our purpose.”
The event featured lively hymns and special music by the church choir, and several members testified to the blessings and progress achieved over the years. Evangelist Maurice Richards, the Assistant Shepherd, highlighted the importance of community support in the church’s journey, saying, “Our members and leaders have remained steadfast, and we couldn’t have come this far without such support. This day is truly a testament to our shared faith and commitment to giving back.”
As the church community reflects on another successful year, the clergy and church executives extended their appreciation to all who contributed to the day’s success. “This year’s harvest celebration is a significant milestone for us,” noted Prophet Wolider Adeyemi Mustapha, the church’s prophet. “Our members, leaders, and special guests like Ambassador Ajadi remind us that our faith and our community spirit are the cornerstones of our success and growth.”
The 47th Annual Harvest at Ogudu Expressway Cathedral stands as a testament to the strength of the CCC community in Lagos, embodying a shared sense of faith, unity, and service.
