Nkereuwem, Udo Emerge Winners At NIJ Beauty Pageant 2024

The Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ) students’ body now has a new Mr NIJ and Miss NIJ respectively following a beauty pageant held yesterday..
They are in the persons of Wisdom Nkereuwem and Udo Comfort.
Their emergence yesterday was the crowning glory of this year’s NIJ student’s week which was celebrated under th theme “LOUD AM”.
Wisdom Nkereuwem and Udo Comfort will now reign as social ambassadors for the students for the next one year.
Their emergence followed a grueling contest that saw many participants from different classes of the school.
This year’s beauty pageant took place on the 27th of June,2024 at the school’s hall with Mr Femi Ola-Abraham a.k.a Africa, an Alumni; Oladunmade Adegoke, another Alumni and the Head of Sales and Marketing of Mayore Beauty Nigeria and lastly, Queen Iretioluwa as judges.

The former title holders were also present to handover the crown to the new title holders.
The event officially commenced with the 12 contestants including, Obeh Benjamin, Musa Joy, Bankole Aminat, entertaining the audience with a short choreography.
They had so much drive in their performances, and thereafter, was a performance by the third runner up of the NIJ Got Talent show, Tomiwa a.k.a Big berry.
The contestants then came up to the stage to showcase their journalistic attire. Some dressed as a reporter-presenter-photographers.
It was indeed a showcase of talents by students to showcase their dancing, singing and presentation skills in monologue.
This year’s beauty pageant was sponsored by organisations like Airtel, Viju, Razzle and Firazi.

Elegantly and stylishly dressed,the contestants paraded the stage in their dinner attires, before they faced a barrage of questions from the judged.
After so much deliberation and contemplation, the judges finally announced the ultimate winners of the beauty pageant, followed by Mr & Miss Photogenic, Obeh Benjamin and Bankole Aminat, and also Mr & Miss Amnity, Olaoye Victor and Musa Joy Ali.
The winners all received a gift package from Mayore Beauty, Airtel and Razzle.
