Sancho Ends 4-Month First Team Training

Jadon Sancho is beaming once more at Borussia Dortmund after rejoining the first squad after a four-month hiatus thanks to a loan from Manchester United.

The Red Devils benched the England international winger early in the 2023–24 season because Erik ten Hag had doubts about his work ethic and attitude. Sancho was reportedly forced to utilise United’s academy facilities after being expelled from the senior squad in Manchester in mid-September, according to reports.

Sancho is hoping to rediscover a lost spark after retracing professional steps to Germany, with a welcome return to the training field being made. He will be hoping to prove his fitness as quickly as possible, with a “good to be back on the pitch” message sent following his well-documented struggles at Old Trafford.

Sancho has already flourished at Dortmund, where he has made 137 appearances and recorded 50 goals and 64 assists. He still has time to realise the potential that made United willing to pay £75 million ($96 million) to sign him back in 2021.
