Casemiro Is Back! Man Utd Handed Timely Boost Ahead of Bayern Clash

Ahead of Manchester United’s crucial Champions League matchup with Bayern Munich, midfielder Casemiro has made a comeback to the training field.

Since October, Casemiro has not appeared for United due to an ankle injury he sustained while playing for Brazil on international duty. After a 3-0 loss to Bournemouth in the Premier League on Sunday, the midfield player went back to the Carrington training pitch, according to the club, and worked alone as the rest of the team participated in a recovery session.

Luke Shaw and Kobbie Mainoo have only just returned from extended absences, adding to United’s problems in the opening half of the season due to multiple injuries to important players. Ten Hag will be encouraged by Casemiro’s return to training following his team’s sixth Premier League defeat of the year, but Tyrell Malacia, Mason Mount, and Lisandro Martinez are among the players who are still on the treatment table with no official comeback date as of yet.

Following the Brazil international’s form-breaking early-season slump, United supporters will be hoping that Casemiro returns with a bounce in his step. He moved from Real Madrid to Old Trafford and was one of Ten Hag’s best players in 2022–2023; however, he is currently being linked to a January departure as part of a possible team change. With United scheduled to play in the Premier League before the end of the year against Liverpool, West Ham, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest, Casemiro might turn things around with a string of strong performances over the holiday season.
