Emirates Airlines has stated that starting on September 11, 2022, it will resume operating flights to Lagos.
The airline made this disclosure yesterday in an email to its clients and travel companies.
Emirates had earlier said in a statement that it explored every option to address its ongoing issues with remitting money from Nigeria and had made significant efforts to start a conversation with the appropriate authorities in hopes of prompting their assistance in coming up with a workable solution. Regrettably, though, there had been no progress.
The statement in part reads: “We sincerely regret the inconvenience caused to our customers, however the circumstances are beyond our control at this stage. We will be working to help impacted customers make alternative travel arrangements wherever possible.”
