XHS Nigeria, Xerox Woo Customers With Iridesse Printing Equipment

A range of precision and utility printing equipment was on elegant display in Lagos yesterday at an impression exhibition mounted by XHS (Nigeria) Limited.

The showcase which took place at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria  Island, Lagos was graced by dignitaries from various fields, attracted by the legendary Xerox-XHS  reputation

Though there were several products, the Xerox Iridesse production presses range was a major attraction.

In his welcome, the managing director/CEO of XHS (Nigeria) Limited, Mr Femi Okunade described Xerox as a company associated with pioneering leadership and production innovation, saying this was demonstrated in Iridesse with its 120 prints per  minute capacity.

He added, “Before now, we have always taught the world leadership lessons. In 1998, Xerox taught the world how to copy digitally. Before that time, in 1992, we had introduced copy and print in color with the Empress. Today is another day of value addition and business innovation”, he said.

The Lagos State Commissioner for  Science and Technology, Mr Hakeem Popoola Fahm  said Xerox had rested on its oars right from inception in 1938 but had continued to create solutions in its area of focus, bringing about solutions to the  needs of people in a number of ways.

The commissioner said the company had left inprints in such areas as computer science, imaging and document technology, adding that the company in creating solutions had been able to simplify things for products users.

He commended XHS management and staff for collaborating effectively with Xerox urging them not to relent in the effort.

Mr Christ Lynch, the Head of Production Technology & Graphics Communication of Xerox , described graphics communication business as fastly growing area and that Xerox was committed to delivering the best products and services to clients.

According to him, the history of innovation for which Xerox is known is centred around its customers, especially in helping to do business better.

Mrs Abosede Alimi, of the Lagos Employment Trust Fund, said the state government was ever ready to collaborate with initiatives with potentials of supporting the state government’s development aspirations.

She said the innovative products from the stable of Xerox had high potentials of helping people raise their business profiles while maximising advantage.

She said her agency was ready to provide finance for Lagos residents up to N5million, as a way of creating more value chains and employment opportunities for people.

Such people could consider picking up any of the products Xerox had on display to create a source of income or wealth for themselves and also employing other people.

A high point of the programme was the offer of discounts and other incentives across the company’s products ranges.
