In our 2023 Live Updates, University Village polling unit, Anyigba, Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi state, witnessed a bloodshed in today’s election.

A suspected hoodlum popularly known as Ojochenemi Atidoga was stabbed to death by a soldier for disrupting the election.

The deceased had reportedly been on the rampage, threatening to kill any person who dared to vote other parties aside the All Progressives Congress (APC) but got himself killed instead.

Late arrival of INEC officials hold up polls at Enugu

The later arrival of officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) saw today’s voting at Enugu delayed.

Reports from the location, show that voters were stranded as while remaining orderly and awaiting the arrival of the officials.

Thugs force INEC To Cancel Voting At Kogi Polling Units

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was today forced to cancel voting in seven polling units in the state.

Reason was the disruption of the process by thugs. The seven polling units, in Kogi East Senatorial district are two in Anyigba, Dekina council area, and five in Omala council area of Kogi State.

Thugs allegedly disrupted the polling units, by firing shots into the air and causing panic.
