Every need to applaud: Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan has done it again, putting up an impressive performance at the World Athletics Continental Tour Silver meeting

Nigeria’s athlete Tobi Amusan has done it again, at the World Athletics Continental Tour Silver meeting, this time.

There, she posted her fastest 100m time of the season with an 11.18s (1.8m/s) finish.

The Racers Grand Prix, a  World Athletics Continental Tour Silver meeting, was staged in Kingston, Jamaica, in the early hours of Sunday.

Though, she placed 4th, the competitive nature of the World Athletics Tour makes that a feat indeed.

Running in Lane 2, Amusan flew Nigeria’s flag before a 15,000 spectator crowd drawn from different regions of the world.

This is in spite that she represented Racers Track Club.

Jamaica’s Tina Clayton, on Lane 3 dusted every other athlete with a 10.98s finish.

READ ALSO: This was only her second 100m flat race of the season and third in the last 14 months, as she continues her gradual transition into sprinting from her specialist 100m hurdles event.

Lane 4-placed Jacious Sears of the United States, came second with an 11.04s finish.

She however, took off with the reaction time  at 0.158s.
