Women, Don’t Be Shy, Be first to Propose To Men– Songstress

In our clime, it is usually believed that men should propose to women first, but there is a lady who feels it the other way round.

A young woman herself, she encourages ladies thus: Women, Don’t Be Shy, Be first to Propose To Men.

Bongie Melon,  a Malawian songstress is only 20, but she believes that there is nothing wrong in ladies making move first.

She said women should be courageous enough to pursue their dreams even it that means proposing to the men of their dreams first.

She is uncomfortable that shyness has been hindering women from finding happiness,, Malawi 24 reports.

Bongie Melon has a recent album entitled Manyazi, which has the track: “Palibe chomwe sindingapange kuti ukhale waine\ndinamanga kale banja mmaloto mwaine, translated to “Nothing can stop me from having you as mine/I already tied a knot with you in my dreams”

According to her, any woman who fails to make the first move towards a man she loves, may end up ending up with the wrong man, thereby beginning a union with unhappiness.

“The problem with women is that they wait for men to approach them, and if men don`t do so they end up dating wrong people because they are the ones available,” she said
