Will Conte Be Available For Spurs’ UCL Clash With AC Milan?

Antonio Conte will return to the coaching chair for Wednesday’s pivotal Champions League match between Tottenham and AC Milan.

The Italian strategist has been recuperating in his native country following gallbladder surgery. After having surgery, he did temporarily return to a difficult position in north London, but he was later forced to take another step back.

In his absence, assistant coach Cristian Stellini has been in charge of things. While there have been some encouraging results against teams like Manchester City and Chelsea, there have also been some discouraging 1-0 losses to Sheffield United and Wolves in the league and FA Cup, respectively.

According to The Daily Mail, Conte arrived back in England on Sunday and will be in charge again when Spurs try to overcome a one-goal deficit against Milan in the second leg of their European last-16 matchup at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Although Conte is getting ready to take over once more, speculation about his future persists. Due to the lack of progress in negotiating an extension for his current contract, which is set to expire at the end of the current campaign, there are rumors that he may leave the team in the summer.

Conte is rumored to be eager to return to Italian football so he may be nearer to his loved ones. Notwithstanding the likelihood that Spurs will go another season without winning a trophy, the club might be reluctant to extend his contract.
