Why Victor Osimhen’s Agent Threatens Legal Action Against Napoli

Victor Osimhen’s agent has said legal action could be taken against Napoli for mocking the Nigerian forward on social media.

Napoli on TikTok posted a video of Osimhen missing his penalty against Bologna along with the screamed request, “Gimme penalty please,” in the backdrop. Although the club has already removed the video, Osimhen’s lawyer, Roberto Calenda, has warned that legal action may be taken against the Serie A winners for making fun of his client in public.

Calenda’s statement read, “What happened today on Napoli’s official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable. A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted. A serious fact that causes very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period between media trials and fake news. We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor.”

Osimhen had a terrible game against Bologna last weekend, missing a penalty in the 72nd minute and being replaced in the 79th. The striker was not thrilled by Rudi Garcia‘s choice and was seen venting his annoyance at the manager on camera. Napoli eventually dropped two points as a result of their goalless draw.

Osimhen’s inclusion in Napoli’s starting lineup for their Serie A match against Udinese on Wednesday is still up in the air.
