Why Tinubu Emerged as Nigeria’s President-Elect - Masari

Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State has said that Bola Tinubu emerged as Nigeria’s President-elect because members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, delivered by turning out en-mass with their supporters.

Tinubu was declared the winner of last Saturday’s presidential election early Wednesday morning by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The former Lagos governor defeated his closest rivals, PDP’s Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party’s Peter Obi, in the presidential election conducted on February 25.

Speaking with newsmen in Katsina shortly after Tinubu was declared winner of the Presidential election, Masari said, “We have delivered because we turned out en-mass with our supporters and voted Bola Tinubu as our President.”

“I am still appealing to our supporters to come out in large numbers and elect Umar Dikko-Radda, to succeed me as next Governor of Katsina State in the Gubernatorial election slated for March 11,” he added.

While commending INEC for conducting a free and fair election, Masari called on the electoral body not to listen to unpatriotic individuals.
