Why Tinubu Doesn’t Need Wike’s Logistics Support – Umahi

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress, APC’s presidential candidate, needs the votes of Rivers state, not the logistical support of Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state, according to Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State.

When he opened the Akpabu-Itu-Umudiogha route in Rivers’ Emohua Local Government Area on Tuesday, Umahi made this declaration.

According to him, “You are a doer of promise. When you say you will give logistics support, you will but in APC, we don’t need logistics support, we need votes, just for the presidential one only, please.

“All I am asking is that presidential one, that presidential one keep it for Asiwaju (Tinubu) and Asiwaju will be coming here to solicit votes.”

Recall that Wike, had pledged to provide logistical support for the campaigns of Peter Obi, the LP’s presidential candidate, and Rabiu Kwankwaso, the NNPP’s presidential candidate, who had just just commissioned projects in the state.

In response to what they called the dominance of the north within the party, Wike and four other PDP governors collectively known as the G5 or the Integrity Group want Ayu, who was born in Benue, to resign in favor of a southerner.
