The President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration has come forward to proffer reasons why it sacked 6 ministers yesterday.
The reasons were proffered by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr Bayo Onanuga,
According to him, the decision followed a careful assessment of the ministers to ascertain the level of performances each attained.
He said it was a painstaking process undertaken by the President’s Social Adviser on Policy, Hadiza Bala Usman,
According to him, Hadiza Bala Usman was assigned the task of overseeing a performance appraisal, on the ministers.
This entailed gathering public feedback on the ministers’ work, a technology-driven process which gave Nigeriana opportunity to score the ministers based on their performance.
“Hadiza brought technology to it, asking Nigerians to score the ministers.

“The results were based on empirical facts, the public perception of these ministers, and it was the people who actually did the scorecard. The President acted on those results”, the SA stated.
He said sack of the 7 ministers was in line with the president’s assertion during inauguration that he would not hesitate those who failed to perform.
