Leading telecommunication company, MTN Nigeria is set to launch a free data learning bundle for Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs).

MTN introduced this free data bundle in partnership with organizations that already offer free targeted developmental content and products for small businesses, such as the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), the FATE Foundation, and Pan-Atlantic University’s Enterprise Development Centre (EDC).

According to MTN, this is done in awareness of the advantages of knowledge and information for developing enterprises as well as the difficulty for small firms in gaining access to these knowledge resources, MTN created the free data package.

By dialing *460*600# or texting the word “Learn” to 131, respectively, business owners can activate the learning bundle via USSD and SMS. All MTN prepaid customers can subscribe to the bundle plan.

Speaking about the collaboration, MTN’s Chief Enterprise Business Officer, Ms. Lynda Saint-Nwafor, noted that the company had worked with respected learning organizations because it had recognized the need for capacity building and the enchanting of continuous learning on MSMEs.

She added that these alliances are evidence of MTN’s dedication to helping businesses take advantage of a contemporary, connected world.

In a similar vein, Mr. Wale Fasanya, Director-General of SMEDAN, explained that the initiative would expand access to learning resources on the SME Digital Academy for micro and small firms and considerably improve their chances of flourishing.

He also noted that “the businesses will also receive certificates of completion endorsed by SMEDAN. He commended MTN and its technical partner Sapphital Learning, for making this available and pledged the commitment of SMEDAN towards educating, empowering, and elevating millions of MSMEs across the country.”
