FC Barcelona star, Lionel Messi has not yet signed a new contract with the club ahead of next season after his current contract expired last June

Messi had tried to sign a new deal with the club but the negotiation failed due to financial insufficiency currently being experience by the club currently.

His last salary is not fully known but many sources believe he earns  over £500,000 per week and he his highest paid player of the club.

According to a source Fabrizio Romano,”the Hitman  has been with Barcelona for 17 years but he is likely to join another team for the 2021/2022 season”.

Many Football clubs across Europe have shown interest in getting him append his signature on their papers. Plainly, they are ready and willing to dole out more than his earning at the Spanish giant.

Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City,Paris Saint German, Juventus,Chelsea, Bayern Munich,Inter Milan and many more are reportedly in the race to secure his signature.

The records say Messi holds the record for most goals in La Liga (474), the Supercopa de España (14), the UEFA Super Cup (3) and is the player with the most official recorded assists in football history (315).

He currently led Argentine team in winning the just concluded Copa America in the final against Brazil that ended in a penalty shootout.

Quoting a discussions with Barcelona fans, a report on the Mess development said: t “if the club mistakenly sold Messi,they will really pay the price because he has been a key man and a man to watch in every Barcelona  games”.

It is open secret that the clubs value his assets, as having him in their team is assurance they would win trophies and laurels, aside the impressive dribble runs and invaluable assists.
