Why Man Utd, Tottenham & Chelsea Will Be Delighted By West Ham Win Against Freiburg

The Europa League victory of West Ham over Freiburg by 5-0 would be excellent news for teams like Manchester United, Chelsea, and Tottenham.

West Ham overturned a 1-0 deficit from the first leg of their Europa League last-16 tie to demolish the German side on home soil, sending David Moyes’ team through to the quarter-finals of the competition.

The victory gives Premier League teams hoping to qualify for the Champions League the next season a major boost. With West Ham’s victory, the Premier League’s prospects of earning a fifth Champions League position for the next season are increased; Serie A’s chances are also likely to grow. England and Germany were the two European countries with a chance to take the additional spot, with Italy’s spot all but certain.
