When It Rains It Pours! Why Man United Couldn’t Fix Old Trafford’s Leaky Roof 

Man United may find it difficult to fix the roof of Old Trafford, THEEAGLE confirmed.

According to the Daily Mail, Collette Roche, the club’s managing director, described the challenges United may encounter in trying to replace their leaky roof at Old Trafford during a staff meeting last week.

The hierarchy at the club are aware that the roof on the Sir Bobby Charlton Stand needs fixing, but will struggle to hire cranes over the railway line at the back of the stand. Which therefore means the work cannot be done while the season is ongoing, without severely impacting match-day attendance and therefore revenue.

Considering the continuous rumours of a potential purchase by either Sheikh Jassim or Sir Jim Ratcliffe, United are also hesitant to make a large investment in the stadium.

Any sale of the team by the Glazers family, who are still under fire for their ownership of United, might result in the renovation or construction of a brand-new stadium. Consequently, expensive investments can become obsolete in the upcoming months.
