Weather Forecast For November: Here Is What Met Office Says

It is a few hours to November but there are already intense interest on weather forecast for November, in particular snowfalls in the month.

What should residents expect? Heavy snow, mild or what? Where are the target areas that is would snow, and what indeed are the safety measures to be put in place.

Mon 28 Oct – Tue 29 Oct

Rather cloudy with patchy rain, and some fog. Mild.

This Evening and Tonight:

Most areas will have a rather cloudy night with patchy light rain and some fog patches affecting the hills. Local fog patches are possible elsewhere where any cloud breaks develop, with eastern Scotland best placed to see these. Frost-free.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Mostly dry, mild, though fairly cloudy. Patchy rain, with occasional brighter or clearer breaks, the latter allowing some fog to form overnight. Wetter and windier in far north at times.

Saturday 2 Nov – Monday 11 Nov

Weather forecast for November indicates high pressure is likely to dominate the weather across many parts of the UK during this period. This will mean plenty of dry and settled weather through to the middle of November. Where skies clear overnight some areas of fog and frost are likely to develop.

Southern areas are expected to be mainly dry during this period. Any more unsettled conditions and periods of rain are more likely to affect areas further north, particularly the far north and northwest of Scotland. Winds will likely be light in the south, but there could be some spells of strong winds across the north. Temperatures will probably be close to normal overall, although some cold night are possible at times.

Tuesday 12 Nov – Tuesday 26 Nov

After a relatively settled start to November, around mid-month there will probably be a change toward more unsettled conditions for a time. This means an increased risk of periods of wet and windy weather for many parts of the UK.

Later in the month, high pressure may build back in and bring a change to drier, more settled conditions once again. Temperatures will probably be close to average overall, although some colder interludes are possible.
