Vitor Roque To Reject Arsenal As Fast-Rising Brazilian Wonderkid Eyes Dream Barcelona Move

Vitor Roque, a wonderkid for Athletico Paranaense, is planning to rebuff Arsenal’s advances as he pursues a dream transfer to Barcelona.

Arsenal’s Edu Gaspar had begun negotiations with Athletico Paranaense, but he has his heart set on a move to Spain to join Barca.

The 18-year-old striker has a wide fan base, and the Blaugrana are one of them. They are hopeful that a deal will be made in the summer transfer window.

Paranaense has reportedly already turned down a £22 million bid from the Catalan club and has refused to decrease its £40 million asking price.

Barcelona wants Roque to join Robert Lewandowski up front this summer. The kid is expected to excel in Europe after helping Brazil win the recent South America U20 Championship with six goals in eight games.

He has a season-high 10 goals and two assists in 44 games for Paranaense in the Brazilian top division.
