On Friday, the club’s chief executive officer, Richard Arnold, and the British millionaire were seen discussing the selling process further inside the club’s headquarters.

Ratcliffe and the Qatari entourage lead by Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani are reportedly the front-runners in negotiations with the Red Devils about the sale of the club, which is now in discussion with eight potential buyers.

In fact, both parties acknowledged that obtaining a complete buyout of the Glazers’ Class B shares was in the public interest.

The next phase of United’s sale process began on Thursday with representatives of Al Thani meeting with club officials at Old Trafford. The 10 hour-long meeting lasted the entire day.
