Video: Phone Repairer Rescued From The Brink Of Death

Yesterday would have told a different story for a phone repair simply identified as Eho; it only took the intervention of concerned Lagosians and prompt arrival of the Lagos State Emergency Services Team.

Plump and chocolate Eyo was found almost without breath inside a gutter behind the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ) Ogba, after allegedly gulping down alcohol.

Those who know him said it was his practice, but yesterday’s incident turned out too excessive.

They mobilised and brought him out of the gutter almost breathless, and laid him on the bare floor.

While some good Samaritans began to pour waters on him, to stabilise him, some students of the nearby Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ) were able to alert the Lagos State Emergency Services which arrived the scene with an ambulance.

The Eagle News correspondents who raced to the scene, said strange substances were oozing out of Eho’s body, even as he found it difficulty in breathing.

An eye witness who simply identified himself as Mr. Steven said “Eho’s tools and an iphones were in a soaked bag full of gutter water.

“His body was covered in something we couldn’t recognise.”

A nurse who arrived with Emergency Services ambulance, said what he needed as at the time was to be stablised, and possibly food since he may not have taken food.

“We wanted to give him medicine but his hands wouldn’t stay still.

“He just needs to rest now”, the nurse whose name our correspondent could not immediately ascertain stated.

Different people had different interpretations what may have happened, many agreeing that it was a sign of frustration.
