Video: Moment South Sudan's President Urinate On Himself While Singing National Anthem

An online circulating video shows President Salva Kiir Mayardit of South Sudan urinating on himself at a public function while singing the national anthem.

The video posted by a tweep @RonaldMuhinda was accompanied by the caption “SAD! South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardit wets his pants at a public function. His guards bavimba. It should never get to this point. That why others wear pampers or move with mobile toilets.”

Since the nation’s establishment in 2011, Mr. Mayardit, 71, has served as its president. He has presided over a protracted struggle that has kept the nation underdeveloped and approximately 82% of its people living in poverty.

It is not clear whether Mr Mayardit will seek to extend his 13-year grip on power with clear underlying health issues, but the country will be marching to the polls in 2023 for the first time since its founding.

The elections, which were first scheduled for 2015, have been postponed thrice owing to various factors, including an attempted coup.

As of the time of this writing, The Eagle could not gather when and where the function was held.
