Jose Mourinho handed over a chit to a ball boy to pass on instructions to Roma goalkeeper Rui Patricio during their Serie A clash against Fiorentina.

In the last seconds of AS Roma’s match against Fiorentina, the veteran manager requested a ball boy on the sidelines to hand a chit to goalkeeper Patricio with instructions written on it.

Romelu Lukaku handed Roma the lead in the fifth minute of the match but the hosts were reduced to 10 men in the 64th after Nicola Zaleski was sent off. Two minutes later, Lucas Quarta restored parity for Fiorentina. In the 87th minute, Giallorossi faced yet another blow when Lukaku was sent off and they were reduced to nine players. At that moment, Mourinho chalked out a new plan – so that his team could walk out with at least a point – which was passed on to Patricio.

Mourinho’s team has managed to maintain fourth place in the league table despite surrendering two significant points; they currently have 25 points from 15 games, 13 fewer than league leaders Inter.

However, Mourinho might be suspended for his divisive remarks he made towards a Serie A referee prior to the team’s matchup with Sassuolo.
