Video: Mentally Challenged Man Teaches Passersby Christmas Dance Steps

Call it rare Christmas Dance steps and you would be right, the moral message more enduring than the  mentally challenged man may have envisaged.

It happened right on Christmas day along Lateef Jakunde Road by the Addas Shopping Mall in the Agidingbi area of Ikeja Lagos.

It was in the early hours of Christmas day and worshippers were on their way to church modest and solemn as ever, but not him.

Even in his overwhelmingly tattered clothes, the mentally challenged man still had the presence of mind, or was he propelled by some forces, to offer Christmas dance-praise.

All he needed was the classic tunes of Jose Feliciano’s popular Christmas song, “Feliz Navidad’s that bellowed from loud speakers nearby.

The melodious tunes permeated the air, announcing far and wide the air of festivity.

Entrapped  in  this  mesmerizing  air, the mentally challenged young man  clad in dirty tattered rags and  unwashed  body, began a captivating gyration, merrily dancing and singing  to the  music with no cares in the world.

At least, those who could not afford to stop by and watch him, instantly caught casual morals of his spectacle in that passing moment.

Christmas, originally meant to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ, has become in recent times, more of a cultural festival and fashion carnival that cuts across the globe irrespective of religion.

Whomever you are, whatever you are, wherever you are, fantasy becomes real on Christmas day and most people get consumed in its enchanting  atmosphere, sane or insane.

The question still remains: How many of those with healthy presence of mind, and in full appreciation of the significance of Christmas, actually offer dance praise on that day to God?
