VIDEO: Giroud Congratulates Pulisic On AC Milan Move

Following Pulisic’s transfer to Milan, the two ex-Chelsea teammates spoke on the phone, seeming plainly pleased to work again once more.

Like Giroud did in the summer of 2021, the 24-year-old American moved from Chelsea to Milan earlier this week, and Pulisic was ready to reconnect himself with the Frenchman by calling him while donning the recognisable AC Milan colours.

Giroud said, “Nice to see you in that jersey,” sounding really pleased.

Although Pulisic’s high-profile transfer from Dortmund didn’t go as well as some might have anticipated, the winger has nonetheless enjoyed some success in a blue shirt since the £58 million transfer in January 2019.

He won the Champions League in 2021 and went on to win the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup. He was the youngest Chelsea player to ever score in a major semifinal.

The American’s move to Milan is a fresh start, and with players like Giroud, Fikayo Tomori, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek already sporting the illustrious AC Milan colours, settling in and enjoying the preseason shouldn’t be too difficult.
