[VIDEO] 2023: Man Caught With PVCs Buried Inside Soakaway In Lagos

A man has been discovered in Araromi Ale village in Oko Afon area, Badagry, Lagos State, in possession of multiple Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) as the 2023 election draws nearer.


The man allegedly buried the PVCs within the soakaway, according to Politics Nigeria.

 

This newspaper discovered a video of the man being reprimanded and told to get the PVCs.

The crime violates Section 117 of the Electoral Act of 2022.


According to witnesses, the man would be turned over to the police.

In the meantime, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has urged voters to obtain their PVCs, stating that “no PVC, no vote.”

Professor Ibrahim Yahaya-Makarfi, the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in Katsina State, made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Katsina.

He claims that the commission won’t let anyone cast a ballot in the general elections of 2023 if they don’t show their PVCs at the polling places.
