US Women Soccer Team Beat Brazil To Lift Olympic Gold

The US women soccer team are on song at the ongoing Olympic Games in Paris France as they have today, beaten their Brazil counterpart for gold.

Though the two teams put up impressive performances, but it was sweet victory for the American girls being the first time the USA have taken the Olympic title in 12 years.

Yet, the girls had arrived the competition with mixed feelings, largely due to their coach, new English coach Emma Hayes, being new, but yet they had very enthusiastic players in the team.

The winning goal was scored by Mallory Swanson in the game played at the Parc des Princes, and that kept global enthusiasts glued to their devices. .

With today’s victory by the US Women Soccer Team, it is the third final they are triumphing over Brazil.

The two other US triumphs over Brazil were at the 2004 Olympics in Athens and in the  Beijing Olympics in 2008.
