Due to students under the National Association of Nigerian Students’ control blocking the road to Lagos airport on Monday in protest of the Academic Staff Union of Universities’ strike action, air travelers had to walk to the airport.
Since February 14, 2022, ASUU has been on strike.

Travelers were seen walking to the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja as a result of the protest. Apparently, some residents make a living by assisting travelers with their bags as they travel to the airport.
