The Transmission Company of Nigeria has alerted residents of Abuja to prepare for a scheduled maintenance exercise at its Apo 132/33kV Transmission Substation

The company issued the alert In a statement released today and signed by its General Manager, Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, saying the scheduled maintenance exercise would result in power interruptions.

The statement stated that the scheduled maintenance is on its 60MVA 132/33kV transformer (3APH TR1) and associated switchgear at the Apo Transmission Substation, and would last from from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

“During the maintenance period, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company will be unable to off-take bulk power for distribution to customers in Gudu District, Gaduwa, Durumi, Printing and Minting, Garki, and environs”, Transmission Company of Nigeria said in the statement .

It however added that the bulk electricity supply would be restored to Abuja Electric Distribution Company (AEDC” immediately upon completion of the work.

It also apologized for the inevitable incontinence which the maintenance and disruption of power supply would cause consumers.
