BRed and Faith Johnson

The marriage of Nigerian musician Adebayo Adeleke, better known by his stage name BRed, and his wife Faith Johnson fell apart in 2023 due to charges of violence and adultery.

The separated couple, who have a baby together named Adetayo Oshioke Adeleke, who was born in 2019, have now stopped following one another on Instagram and have continued to criticise one another online.

Bolanle Ninalowo and Bunmi

The 17-year marriage of well-known Nollywood actor Bolanle Ninalowo and his wife, Bunmi, came to an end, leaving fans in a state of shock.

On Friday, Ninalowo posted the sad news to his Instagram page and said that the breakup was best for all parties.

The couple’s relationship troubles have previously made headlines, so this won’t be the first time.

The actor stated in 2017 that he and his wife had decided to end their relationship after 12 years together in an interview with Genevieve Magazine. But they got back together in 2018.

Etinosa Idemudia and Ighrosa

The marriage of Etinosa Idemudia to the Benin-based attorney Ighrosa was the shortest-lived relationship on this list. On Christmas Day of 2020, the former couple welcomed their first daughter. They had previously been married since September of that year.

The movie star intended to keep the details of her failed marriage hidden from prying eyes of the public, but the media had other ideas.

Faridah Sobowale and Demola Odulaja

The news of Farida’s attempted suicide became viral after it was reported online.

The two-month-old marriage to her now-divorced husband, Demola Odulaja, ended in a sad way, prompting the Lagos socialite to try suicide.

According to Odulaja, the marriage failed because of Sobowale’s promiscuous behaviour, according to an interview with Yoruba social analyst ArewaTopeFamous.

Yomi Gold and Meenah

In January 2023, Yomi Alore aka Yomi Gold, a Yoruba actor and producer, announced the dissolution of his second marriage to Meenah.

When announcing the divorce, Gold accepted responsibility for the breakdown of the union and referred to his wife as a “good person.”

Mofe Duncan and Jessica Kakkad

The divorce of Mofe Duncan and Jessica Kakkad was among the most covert in recorded history.

A few hours after the news broke, Mofe Duncan took to his Instagram page to release a statement where he revealed that the marriage had crashed a year earlier and that he still maintains a cordial relationship with Jessica and her family.

Osas Ighodaro and Gbenro Ajibade

Ighodaro and Ajibade got engaged to the pleasure of their fans and the entertainment industry after they first met on a TV show.

The wedding ceremony for the couple was so large that live television coverage was provided.

A few months later, Osas took down Gbenro’s name from her Instagram handle. After several months in the United States of America, Gbenro marked his return to Nigeria with an interview on Rubbin Minds where he confirmed that they are divorced.
