Tinubu’s Achievements ‘ll Earn Him 2023 Presidential Spot – Lawan Boasts

The All Progressives Congress (APC) will win the 2023 presidential election with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as its nominee and Kashim Shettima as his running mate, according to Nigeria’s Senate President Ahmad Lawan.

At a special dinner hosted for supporters and advisers of the APC at the Campaign Headquarters in Abuja, Lawan made the remark in his message of goodwill.

Former governors, National Assembly members, ministers, successful politicians, and former senior Federal Government appointees make up the campaign patrons and advisers.

The Senate President said in his speech that he had faith in Tinubu and Shettima because of their successes in their individual political campaigns.

He said, “The APC is on its way to winning the elections with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima who are great Nigerians that have achieved a lot in their various political journeys.”

Speaking to the audience, Tinubu referred to the campaign’s supporters as well-known politicians who had put in a lot of effort and sacrifice for the party and the expansion of democracy in Nigeria.

This information was revealed in a statement given to Gov. Simon Lalong, the director general of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, by Dr. Makut Macham, director of press and public affairs.

Tinubu expressed happiness that they support him wholeheartedly and his goal of giving Nigeria a “Renewed Hope” to improve it.

The former governor reassured them that if elected, he would work hard to draw on the expertise, experience, and talents of technocrats from all throughout the nation to tackle the problems facing the country.

Shettima complimented the crowd as well, adding that the widespread support for his combined ticket with the APC national leader shows that Nigerians are moving away from ethnic politics and religious sentiments and instead are focusing on quality and capacity.

Simon Lalong, the governor of Plateau State, expressed appreciation for the campaign supporters and advisers for their steadfast support of the Tinubu-Shettima ticket. Lalong appeared to be impressed by the dinner reception.

The statement read; “While promising to do his best to carry all Nigerians along, the campaign DG said the PCC members have vast experience, connections and followership to ensure the campaign does not derail.

“The DG said he was looking forward to having them in Jos for the flag-off of the campaigns which will herald the nationwide movement to engage the people.”
