Tinubu Writes Senate Over New EFCC Boss
President Tinubu has written the Nigerian Senate, seeking the screening and confirmation of Ola Olukoyede as chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Olukoyede’s appointment followed the resignation of the suspended executive chairman of the commission, Abdulrasheed Bawa.
If confirmed, Olukoyede will serve for four years.

Tinubu’s request for his confirmation is contained in a letter read during Tuesday’s plenary by the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio.
President Tinubu also asked the Senate to confirm Mohammed Hassan as secretary of the anti-graft agency.
