Staddon Parents, Teachers Dialogue At Crucial PTA Meeting

Staddon Schools – Last Saturday, October 22 presented a grand opportunity for a healthy dialogue of Parents, Teachers and Management of Staddon Schools, a leading private school in the Arifanla area of Akute, Ogun State.

The meeting which was well attended held in the expansive compound of the school, with key issues discussed.

They included fees payable, school bus routing and pupils’ pick-up time, extra-curricular activities,  hygiene and the general appearance of the pupils.

In her address before that time, the Proprietress, Mrs Omotanwa Ogunlolu had welcomed the parents and teachers, thanking them for helping to make the past academic session a success.

She appealed with them to sustain the good work in the new session.

ilateral increase in payable fees for now.

Aside the issues of fees and text books, other issues that attracted healthy discussion were the need in maintaining already attained standards, and in fact, improving on it;  the need to prepare pupils on time so the school bus could complete its routes on time, as well as best hygiene practices amongst the pupils.

The successful installation of CCTV cameras by the school, introduction of adjunct subjects like diction and phonetics, amongst others were again commended. A highpoint of the PTA meeting was presentation of key facts about the nation, Nigeria including the different regions of the country and what makes each unique. In all, the Director, Mr Bola Ogunlolu said the management would always seek for the best for the school and the pupils. He also said the observations made by the meeting had been taken note of.

Other notable attendees included the PTA chairman, Mr Timehin Dickson and his exco members, the Head Mistress, Mrs Adelakun as well as the Assistant HM, Mrs Edebeatu
