Speak now if you have been sexually abused, that is the challenge that the Nasrul-llahi-l-Fatih Society popularly known as NASFAT is throwing before Nigerian women.
The NASFAT challenge is coming at a time of national angst against men in authority taking undue advantage of the vulnerable.
The mission just conducted the official opening of NASFAT Women’s Week at the Lagos Secretariat Mosque .
The mission’s Women Affairs Secretary, Alhaja Suwebat Kupolati, speaking, said NASFAT had opened a 24-hour hotline for people who have been sexually assaulted to report such abuse.
Giving the 24-hour hotline to report sexual harassment as 07048115092S she urged women who were being sexually assaulted to speak out.
“We have our hotlines for people most especially women to call if they have been sexually assaulted,” she said, adding that NASFAT was partnering UNICEF on the issue of sexual violence.
According to her, series of campaigns had been carried out to educate women on sexual harassment.
“Today we are celebrating the elders and the widows.
“Fasting would be observed tomorrow and we will be visiting the hospitals, orphanages and correctional centres,”she said, adding that about 400 persons who had been trained in various vocational skills would graduate during the weeklong programme.

She also revealed the theme of the NASFAT Women’s Week as “Muslimah: Striving and thriving in the midst of the pandemic”.
