A female learner-driver has left a family in great sorrow and anguish after crushing its 3 children to death at a go.
The learner-driver was being taught by her boyfriend when the incident happened.
The lady had reportedly rammed into the children’s residence during the exercise, crushing all three, a Daily Trust report indicated.
The incident which occurred at Ogbunabali axis of Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, attracted a lot sympathisers, even as Amarachi Promise Esomonu, the mother of the three kids, has called for justice.
A resident, narrating the May 15 incident, said: “They were at home in Ogbunabali when this happened. A young man was teaching his girlfriend how to drive.
“So, as she was driving, people started shouting, before we knew it, the car had rammed into the woman’s house.
“That was how her three children lost their lives. It is very painful, and the mother has been crying because the children were all going to school,” the source stated.
Police spokesperson in Rivers State, ASP Blessing Kaborlo Agabe, who confirmed the incident in a statement yesterday, said the Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, had ordered an investigation.

She said the State Police Command was saddened by the tragic incident, which she said has generated “widespread grief and concern”.
She condoled with the family and assured that every necessary step would be taken to ensure that the family gets justice in the matter.
The deceased children were aged: 10 years, 4 years and 3 years.
