Sir Jim Ratcliffe Set To Invest £245m Into Man Utd Infrastructure 

Reports stated that Sir Jim Ratcliffe plans to rebuild Manchester United’s dilapidated infrastructure with an investment of £245 million ($300 million) from his personal fortune.

The British businessman is prepared to spend a significant sum of money to update the club’s old infrastructure, according to Sky News. He is personally making this payment in addition to the £1.25 billion he plans to invest in the club to get a 25% ownership share. Therefore, the deal won’t add to United’s already-existing debt. A sizeable amount of the investment will be given to the club by the end of the year, and it will be made gradually.

The money will not be utilised to bolster the squad; instead, it will all go towards enhancing the club’s facilities. Though it might take more substantial financial resources to turn United’s stadium into a top-tier venue on par with the Emirates and the Etihad, it is thought that Ratcliffe is amenable to further investment to outfit Old Trafford with cutting-edge amenities.

But since both parties are still deep in negotiations, it’s unclear if these intentions would be revealed when the takeover is declared, which may happen in another 15 days.

It has been stated that following the completion of the takeover procedure, Sir Ratcliffe will assume leadership of the club’s sporting affairs. According to reports, he may name Paul Mitchell, a former head of recruitment for Tottenham, as director of football in an attempt to improve United’s performance, which has faltered under manager Erik ten Hag.
